The 61Aero approach to mapping and exploration is holistic. The most powerful outcomes are derived from a broad aggregation of data. 

LiDAR, whether wide area or focused, high density, provides an accurate base layer to determine terrain, topography, geomorphology, biomass and other essential intel. 4-band imagery captured at the appropriate level of detail opens further insights with georeferenced imagery, orthophoto, DTM, DEM and DSM. 

Then, depending on the desired outcome, geophysics sensors add further insights, for deep exploration to shallow geotechnical surveys. Whether GPR (ground penetrating radar), MAG (magnetics), EM (electromagnetics), RAD (radiometrics), TEM (target electromagnetics), gravity, scalar gravity…  61Aero has broad knowledge of the strengths of these data types and the kinds of intel you can expect. Our specialist partners derive best possible outcomes with their data produced against the high accuracy terrain of the 61Aero LiDAR. The synergy of data increases definition in the remote sensed geophysics and unlocks patterns that lead to discoveries. 

In highly sensitive area, you may not want feet on the ground. That is where 61Aero aerial data acquisition can produce intel with the right choice of remote sensing technology. Some sensors can be carried on BVLOS UAVs and even smaller drones. Much of our work is more effective in manned helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. We have the network of aviation operators, both manned and UAV, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
